E-Paath(a sugar activity) is a collection of digital education materials prepared by OLE Nepal. Providing laptops (with sugar) with relevant and localized education content(activities) increases the possibility of their being used regularly in the classroom process. Software team has been building learning activities designed by education experts. These activities are designed such that they can be used by teachers to fulfil learning objectives outlined in the curriculum, and they fully exploit the power of multimedia by integrating text, images, audio, and animation to make learning both fun and effective. These are subject specific and grade-specific interactive activities (software modules). They have been designed for regular classroom use. The teachers and students will use these software modules as part of the regular instruction process. Using these activities, the students can learn new concepts, do practice exercises (for both classwork and homework), and self-assess their progress. In short, these learning activities enhance the possibility of self-learning.
== Summary ==
OLE Nepal launched a two-phase OLPC pilot project in April 2008 —the beginning of the academic year in Nepal. The deployment was done in two phases; first pilot was carried out in two rural test schools in Lalitpur district and in the second phase of the project (April 2009 to March 2010), the pilot was expanded to 26 schools in six districts (Dadeldhura, Kapilvastu, Kavre, Lalitpur, Makwanpur and Mustang). After the completion of the pilot, it is expected that the OLPC project will expand across the entire country in a phase-wise manner.
== Summary ==
== Summary ==
