| |
− | Ubuntu (Karmic) now provides a nicer way to add repositories. Type the | |
− | following at a shell prompt:
| |
| | | |
− | sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alsroot/sugar-0.86
| + | Sugar 0.106 is in the archive for Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial, and can be installed by typing |
| | | |
− | Using the command above results in both importing the GPG key for a
| + | sudo apt install sucrose |
− | PPA and creates a file in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ named
| + | <!-- last tested with Ubuntu 16.04.1 Xenial) --> |
− | "sugarteam-0.86-karmic.list" with all the proper magic in it. The
| |
− | output of the command looks like this (line-wrapped for readability):
| |
| | | |
− | $ add-apt-repository ppa:alsroot/sugar-0.86
| + | Sugar 0.112 can be installed by careful addition of the Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic packages; temporarily change sources.list, update, and install the Sugar packages again, then restore sources.list. |
