GSoC+DMP: What's the best way to onboard contributors to mentor for GSoC 2026?
Devin observed that we don't really have a rigorous system, but he thinks people are wanting something to help them feel that they are in and committed.
Sumit suggests that we dm all of them personally and request them to mentor.
What needs to be communicated is just very basic, like what are expectations around communication, scheduling meetings, code review, what to do if a contributor becomes non- or less- responsive, etc.

Fall events
Walter will be attending a meeting with some edu researchers in Chile that I am trying to schedule with Devin (and Claudia is she is available) and a roundtable on innovation and AI in higher ed.
MostlyK will be representing SL at the GTK summit.
