Oversight Board/2027-2028-candidates
Election
There are three (3) Board of Directors seats to be elected for the 2027–2028 term. These seats are currently held by board members Devin Ulibarri, Sebastian Silva, and Sumit Srivastava, whose terms expire at the end of 2026.
Walter Bender, Kirsh Pandya, and Samson Goddy's terms expire at the end of 2027.
All Sugar Labs members are encouraged to vote. The sole qualification to vote is to be an active participant in the Sugar Labs community within the past 12 months. Contributions may include raising issues, submitting pull requests, writing reviews, blogging about Sugar Labs, participating in outreach, or other community activities.
The combined membership and ballot application is available at this form. The deadline to apply is November 13, 2026.

Candidates
Serving as a board member is a great way to help shape the future of Sugar Labs.
Candidates should create a Wiki entry at Candidates' Wiki submissions, one entry per candidate, with a maximum length of 1,500 characters sharing their vision and motivation.
The deadline to submit candidacy applications and candidate bios is November 13, 2026.
Candidates should read and understand the terms of the Sugar Labs Inc.'s Bylaws, as well as any domestic and international laws governing participation in a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit board.
