A newbie suggestion to remove some duplication between this page and Get started

Most directive links aimed at new learners

1. Study Getting Started.

Is it possible to include the link only to the Floss manual, I feel the whole orange logo etc, is wrong for this part of the page.--Inkyfingers 09:20, 28 October 2011 (EDT)

2. Sugar Labs FAQ <Sugar Labs/FAQ> - compilation of the team FAQs

3. Search this wiki.

[assumption that the top half of this page provides entry-level help.]
a) Most pages in this wiki are tagged ... explain
b) ... Perhaps elaborate search tips? + Navigation bar on left hand side.
c) The Undiscoverable <The Undiscoverable>

Less Directive

4. OLPC Project Help and Information

5. Forums.

6. I have a suggestion: Help_requests might be more tidy and productive on a new page.

7. Sugar glossary <Glossary>

8. Former sites—these have a short history of problems, but are no longer preferred by Sugar Labs.

I made an .html draft, let me know if I can e-mail it to you. --Inkyfingers 06:53, 27 October 2011 (EDT)
Feel free to begin implementing changes; fresh perspectives are important for continuing improvement. --FGrose 13:49, 27 October 2011 (EDT)
Thanks. Can you give me feedback on "Help requests might be more tidy and productive on a new page."--Inkyfingers 18:35, 27 October 2011 (EDT)
I agree. The exploration path we would want to support might proceed from the Sidebar 'Get help' -> 'Sugar help' (Finding help information) -> 'Request help' (on A, B, C, ...) --FGrose 18:56, 27 October 2011 (EDT)
I have left a section at the bottom unfinished - I did not actually check it was all duplicated. I was going to come back to the style for headings, esp. in relation to Contents, depending what the finished job looked like!--Inkyfingers 22:16, 27 October 2011 (EDT)
Anything missed can be retrieved from one of the history pages. Messages to other editors are best left on talk pages (like this) or inline, with <!-- inline comment --> markup, and not on high traffic pages, unless the comments apply generally. Also please notice the edit summary comments on the history pages. Thanks for you contributions! --FGrose 23:45, 27 October 2011 (EDT)

Mid session review

Firstly on a personal note thank you, FGrose, for digging me out of a pickle. It was a mistake for me to try to change so much so quickly with my level of experience. It was a mistake to remove headings - my intention was to achieve a fresh start - error.

No mistake. We prefer that contributors be bold. There is always the page history to help fix any problems.
Here is an 'Under construction' template we can insert on a page while we are making significant changes:

Thank you for putting them back for me, and the generous general cleanup after it looked like an excavator had been in. I did see the feedback from my earlier work at Help Requests history (forgive URL for speed, I should be at work): (Please use intrawiki link format. It's cleaner and needed for the 'What links here' wiki feature. Please prefer wiki code over HTML. Please use proper English. This is an educational institution.). I apologize that I let that throw me when I then started to try to correct my work here. I propose to leave this for now. Is it possible that more directive style of heading could be used for the earlier sections. I have seen the style here, but now I cannot re-find the link. Why? So that the most directive links all show in a 800x600 display (untested)--Inkyfingers 09:17, 28 October 2011 (EDT)

How about these for the directive headings?:
