GSoC/DMP update

GSoC is done and DMP wraps this month. All of the code from each project has landed. Great summer overall... lots of fun too...

The presentations we hosted are now live: https://youtu.be/YzohZgQiYTA?si=MJsploAR-jV-rXUQ (Thx to Ashutosh)

AI/AWS update

Ibiam had given a student access during GSoC as they needed to run some workloads for testing. We moved that to containers.sl.o though. The service isn't up yet it seems, but they have what they need to get it up and running.

Elections

We will be holding an election for 3 board seats this fall. Safwan Sayeed has agreed to lead elections again this year. Any member of Sugar Labs is eligible to run for one of the open seats and also to vote in the election.

Note: Conditions of Membership. Membership is open to any individual who makes “significant and sustained” contributions toward the purposes of Sugar Labs, as determined by the Sugar Labs board or membership committee (if convened). At a minimum, a contributor must contribute a non-trivial improvement to the Sugar project or a Sugar Labs activity. Contributions may be in the form of code, documentation, translations, maintenance of project-wide resources, running a deployment of Sugar software, outreach, teaching, testing and feedback, or other non-trivial activities which promote the purposes of Sugar Labs.
