How to shut down Sugar

GUI shutdown

  1. drag mouse to top right corner
  2. screen should compress and give you hidden objects
  3. top right you should see the icon for your user
  4. click on your user
  5. select shutdown

shutdown via terminal

If the GUI fails to respond to shutdown requests open the terminal and type: 

su -
shutdown -h now
