Sugar Labs no longer uses IRC as the primary mode of communication. [[Matrix]] is the preferred mode of communication. Nevertheless, the matrix and IRC channels are bridged using [https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-appservice-irc Matrix Appservice IRC]. IRC channel only exists for backward compatibility.
