Normally the stipends can be requested by the mentors, but the mentors agreed not to request, but suggested that the money be used for marketing. Walter asked us to budget an amount to cover the difference between Google and actual travel costs for a mentor chosen by the grand prize winner.
We discussed;
* difference in costs may be because of travel from Africa or India,
* difference may exceed $2000,
* Google may help with difference,
* we will know more when the grand price winners are announced on the 7th and they chose a mentor,
* the Conservancy will require a specific decision anyway,
