Note: Proposals for the Sugar learning platform design are found at these pages, Design Team/Proposals, Features. See also 0.114/Roadmap. A feature should be suggested here if it solely concerns Sugar on a Stick. If it affects the broader implementation or requires concrete work on Sugar itself, it should be listed as a Sugar feature. Sugar on a Stick is a class of distributions of the Sugar learning platform that enables installation on removable and writable media like Live USB or Secure Digital cards.

Firstboot Inclusion

Description: Firstboot allows the user to select his keyboard layout and to submit his hardware information at the first time he boots.

Owner: Sebastian Dziallas

Completion: 35% (target: beta release)

Benefit: The feature allows the user to specify his settings directly at boot time and improves because of that his overall experience.

Scope: Mostly the implementation itself will need to be tested. If needed, we will also need to work out language selection.

Contigency Plan: Remove firstboot again and hint at settings in the control panel!

Discussion: add your thoughts here
