Iniciando el siglo [2000] me gradué como ingeniera industrial de la Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería, ese mismo año inicié la especialización en inglés para negocios internacionales, banca y finanzas de la Universidad del Rosario.
En el 2005 parti a California cuando gané una beca para estudiar Producción de Cine [otorgada por el Ministerio de Cultura y la Comisión Fulbright] con la oportinidad de transferir estos conocimientos a mi retorno coordinando el equipo local de producción de la película “El Amor en los Tiempos del Cólera" en la ciudad de Cartagena, Colombia.
En Bogotá hice parte de un selecto equipo de trabajo, diseñando la experiencia de usuario, de múltiples proyectos web comerciales y educativos, y así en mi camino se cruzaron Perú y el Software Libre [en 2009], dando paso a la idea de involucrarme con el grupo que estaba dedicado a diseñar EL software libre dirigido a los niños de las escuelas públicas de primaria.
Fui aceptada como investigadora asociada en Escuelab.Org y desde allí de la mano de Sebastian Silva y otros, iniciamos la incubación del proyecto de investigación y de comunidad somosazucar.org / sugarlabs Perú con el ánimo de incentivar el uso y la evolución del software libre SUGAR en Perú y en Latinoamérica.
Mi visión y motivo para presentarme a esta candidatura, es alinear los esfuerzos del Sistema hacia la creación de una red segura, abierta y libre donde los usuarios finales puedan interactuar en óptimas condiciones.
Para lograr este objetivo propongo primero fortalecer la red de laboratorios locales, procurando formentar entre ellos, la sustentabilidad y el intercambio de experiencias y resultados.

Starting the century [2000] I graduated as an industrial engineer from the Colombian School of Engineering, the same year I began to specialize in international business, banking and finance at the University of Rosario.
In 2005 moved to California to study film production [thanks to the Ministry of Culture and the Fulbright Commission] leading on my return the local production team of the film "Love in the Time of Cholera".
In Bogotá I became part of a select team, designing user experience for multiple commercial and educational web projects, until Perú and Free Software crossed my path in 2009 and first came the idea of been part of the group which was in charge of designing and implementing the ONE that is specifically aimed at children of primary public schools.
I was accepted as an associated researcher at Escuelab and from there on and hand to hand with Sebastian Silva and others, we incubated the research and community project somosazucar.org / sugarlab Peru with the aim of encouraging the use and development of free software SUGAR in Perú and Latinoamerica.
My vision and reason for filing this application, is to align the System's efforts towards creating a secure, open and free Sugar Users Network where users can interact in optimum conditions.
To achieve this goal I propose first to strengthen the network of local laboratories, procuring their sustainability and the sharing of their experiences and results.
