Can you compare your proposal to using existing sreen-reading technology (not necessarily on Sugar) with existing web sites? What advantages would it have? Are there any disadvantages? Might it be possible to get similar advantages by adding screen-reading features to Browse or to Sugar in general? Homunq 00:22, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

The proposal though focusses on the Accessibility feature for only Maps application, initially. However, since this application runs on Browser(and my current proposal is also about developing a screen reader for the same),so eventually, this will support all features in XO which require browser to run like Dictionaries,Encyclopedia and making entire web browsing experience Accessible. In the proposal,I have also mentioned about an expanded verison of the same, where I intend to develop the screen reading activity for other applications and hence making Sugar accessible as whole.
I will be implementing 2 versions of the same, one local, one from web server. So,just in case a child/anybody does not have this screen reader installed,he/she can use the web version(which makes it machine independent - which will be a big advantage). vaish.rajan 22:00, 04 April 2009 (IST)
