Tried this in a f30 Persistent USB

saved these 3 commands to a USB as metacity-fix.txt
Booted F30 Persistent USB in T400 Thinkpad
Inserted 2nd USB (metacity-fix.txt) in T400
copied metacity-fix.txt file to sugar journal in left bottom corner of sugar frame
copied each of the commands to sugar terminal
Restarted Soas Persistent USB and f3 Main Menu came up as it should !
Looks like a fine fix
