IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A SERIES PROTECTION RESISTOR BE BUILT INTO THE MICROPHONE PLUG AND LEADS WHEN USING AN EXTERNAL VOLTAGE SOURCE
The pyroelectric sensor is activated when you change the IR radiation that reaches it. It is powered by 12 V and connected to the mic input of a XO1. When the sensor is activated, the program emits a 1000 Hz tone and displays a photograph of the hot body in motion that triggered the alarm.
