i have a ubuntu (lts first and now koala) machine and an olpc xo (i think 1, series 4?). but i am still somehow a noob with some commandline skills.
when i try to decide both a fresh install of my sugar/olpc and adding sugar as a second desktop to my ubuntu machine, and which versions, i get totally confusing search results and informations. it requires hours to search 2 wikis, since this is the actual sugar wiki.
and what i know is something like this:
#build 802 is working stable with sugar 8.2 for xo 1,
#build 8.4 is possible per sugar on a stick for my xo and my desktop (but only 1 solution of 4 is recommandable/possible),
#build 8.6 should be actual sugar on a stick (?),
#testing is sugar 10.2 (read on wiki.laptop9 which is designed for xo 1.5.
many pages are not actual and arent titled like that (in both wikis) but links that work or do not work brought me to that conclusion.
since i read somewhere that ressources are a problem and theres a timeline für development for xo 1.5 i dont want to rant - i just wanted to ask,
am i correct with this assumptions/conclusions?
