One can embed sized external images from the absolute URI, such as http://wiki.laptop.org/skins/common/images/OLPC_wiki_logo.png or http://wiki.laptop.org/images/thumb/9/93/Ul_warning.png/120px-Ul_warning.png
The URI for an image can be discovered by inspecting the HTML element of an example image in the source wiki with a browser source inspector, such as, right click, Inspect Element in Firefox.
