This page contains an overview of our plannings for the next release. Drafts and ideas go in here, as well as information regarding deadlines in the roadmap. Feel free to add requests, for example of new activities, below. They will be tracked, together with the overall progress, here.

Upcoming Release: Release Candidate on 2009/06/24

Blockers

Here's a list of known blockers, which directly affect the next release. Now what is really important is that every single issue that should get resolved for our release candidate needs to be tagged with the milestone soas_linuxtag.

Roadmap

The roadmap for the most recent SoaS beta release, whose press release went out on April 22nd, has been moved to the archive as new developments come up.

This is our preliminary roadmap for the SoaS Release Candidate. Please make sure to follow it closely!

target date	milestone
from now on	please report any issues you encounter in our trac instance
2009-05-26	Fedora 11 Final Release, will be used for composing the latest images
following days	testing, testing, testing; last minute changes are allowed
2009-06-10	last day to update packages, non-working stuff will be removed
following week	extensive testing of subsequent snapshots; no new features allowed without approval
2009-06-17	final image creation takes place
following week	USB keys are preloaded with the image
2009-06-24	distribution starts on LinuxTag

This is the list of activities on SoaS which will currently be included using .xo files. Please file suggestions here with a short note and make sure that the activity is actually on activities.sugarlabs.org. Of course, it also needs to have a maintainer!
