* work both on Sugar and on traditional desktops
* provide functions to organize/search an offline bookshelf
* interface with one or more online library backends
* support several formatted text formats (html, pdf, scanned pages, ...)
* allow taking side nodes, overlays, editing
* be free and open source
* be ready for tomorrow, thanks :-)
