I am seeking re-election to the Sugar Labs Oversight Board for the 2026–2027 term to continue supporting Sugar Labs as a sustainable, community-led open-source organization. While my visibility in the last term was limited due to significant external open-source advocacy commitments, I am now in a position to be more active and hands-on in my board responsibilities.

I have served on the Sugar Labs Board through key transitions, including its move from Software Freedom Conservancy stewardship to independence. My focus has been on governance continuity, operational stability, and keeping Sugar Labs aligned with its mission of learner-centered, constructionist education.

Beyond Sugar Labs, I bring broad experience in open-source governance and community leadership. I am a board member of Open Source Collective, co-founder of Open Source Community Africa, and a long-time GitHub Star, with professional experience leading open-source and developer engagement programs globally.

If re-elected, my priorities include strengthening board governance, supporting contributors and educators across regions, and ensuring Sugar Labs remains financially and operationally sustainable while adapting to emerging technologies.
