Centos-6.1
- Download:http://mirrors.usc.edu/pub/linux/distributions/centos/6.1/isos/i386/
- Chose Install on Boot Screen of CD
- Format /boot ext4 /ext4 swap
- Sugar is not in the repo's
- sweets-sugar does not work (Missing dependencies)
- VirtualBox does:
Install Virtualbox
- http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.1.6/VirtualBox-4.1-4.1.6_74727_rhel6-1.i686.rpm
- http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.1.6/Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.1.6-74713.vbox-extpack
Download Sugar Appliances
- http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Sugar_Creation_Kit#VirtualBox_Virtualization
- Click on xxxx.ovf file in Downloads
- Error no Kernel sources or DKMS available
FAILS
Install VMware Player 4
- root terminal:
- Change permissions on VMware-Player-4.0.1-528992.i386.bundle (properties/permissions/allow executing as a program)
- sh VMware-Player-4.0.1-528992.i386.bundle
- Installs correctly
Download VMware Player Appliances
VMware Player 4.0 will start both the VMplayer compressed appliances and the vmx Virtualbox Appliances
